CM Punjab Rehmat Card For Widows and Orphan Children

The Punjab government has quietly launched something called the Rehmat Card and most people who actually qualify for it have no idea it even exists.

It is for two kinds of people. Widows who have lost their husbands and are struggling to get by. And children who have lost both their mother and father not one, but both. Each of them gets Rs. 1 lakh directly from the government.

Scope and Coverage

  • Applicable across the entire Province of Punjab
  • Rs. 1,00,000 per widow and Rs. 1,00,000 per orphan child

Eligibility Criteria

  • Needy Muslim widows and parentless orphans eligible for Zakat under Shariah
  • Should not be a government servant, pensioner, or Sahib-e-Nisab
  • Should not be receiving aid from any other Punjab government scheme

Procedure

  • Apply via mobile app “CM Punjab Rahmat Card” or visit https://zakat.punjab.gov.pk/rahmat-card
  • Widows must provide updated CNIC reflecting widow status
  • Orphan children must provide their B-Form
  • Helpline: 1077

Allocation and Selection

  • Budget allocated to District Zakat Committees based on population
  • Final selection through Punjab Socio Economic Registry (PSER)
  • Proxy Means Test ensures transparent and merit-based selection

Registration is not open yet it opens after the official program launch. But get your documents ready now so you are not rushing later.

Most people who need this will never see this post. They do not use social media. So if you know a widow nearby or a child who has lost both parents just walk over and tell them. It costs nothing and it might change everything for them.
